How To: Demon Makeup Tutorial in 5 Steps

Alright so… it’s almost Halloween. And you know what that means- it’s time to scare the living daylights out of everyone you see! If you’re in the mood for the dramatic this Halloween, this is definitely the look for you.

Demon makeup look for Halloween

1.) Start with your base: Prime and moisturize your face to ensure an even surface for your foundation. Put concealer on any dark spots on your face or neck that you’d like to conceal. Blend out your concealer with a damp beauty sponge or blending brush. Apply foundation to your face and blend it out. Now is the time to do your brows as well! Take a black eyeshadow and apply it liberally to both eyes. It’s okay to look like a Panda at this stage! Bring the black eyeshadow all the way to your nose bridge, up to your eyebrows, and out to your cheekbones. Blend out the edges of this shape to create a smooth transition, then add small streaks with your black eyeshadow going outwards from the shape.

Step 1. Base and black eyeshadow

2.) Apply a gray eyeshadow to the hollows of your cheeks to create a dramatic contour. Blend it out so it looks like a shadow on your face.

Step 2. Shading the cheekbones with gray eyeshadow

3.) Apply a black lipstick. With your black eyeshadow, create lines extending your mouth and messily line your lipstick.

Step 3. Black lipstick

4.) Apply a gloss all over your eyes and your lips. Vaseline is a good option for this!

Step 4. Gloss it up!

5.) Draw branching lines on your face with a black eyeliner to create the effect of your face cracking away. Vary the thickness and length of lines to help this effect. These lines should move from the outside of your face inwards, and from your black eye shape outwards. Add more gray eyeshadow to some of the larger cracks.

The finished look!
